I’m lucky to be part of such a fantastic team at work. We’ve got a great dynamic – we work hard and play hard. And since today is Saturday, let’s focus on the “play” part. I woke up in another country this morning, but if I were in Vietnam and told my friends, they’d probably say, ‘Ah, cool! Must have been quite a journey. How was the flight?’ But living in Germany has its perks; we can easily hop on a train and find ourselves in another country. Today, it’s Schaffhausen in Switzerland.
We arrived last night with our team spirit, full of energy, and armed with plenty of groceries. Switzerland tends to be pricier than Germany, and the apartment we booked is in the middle of nowhere, so we decided to stock up across the border.
I vividly recall our planning session for this outing. When it came to the groceries, I quietly added ‘salad and broccoli’ to the list. I can’t go a day without vegetables; they’re a must for me. My love for salads and veggies has earned me a nickname from my team – ‘the cow of the team.’
This morning, we took a walk around the area. At one point, we stumbled upon a field filled with cows. It was the first time I’d seen cows since moving to Germany. Of course, I had to have a picture with them. One of my colleagues kindly snapped a photo of me with the cows using his camera. After showing me the picture, he remarked, ‘You look so happy, maybe because you found your friends. After all, both of you are in the same food chain, right?’ I couldn’t help but laugh at that 😂🤣.
The day continues with plenty of fun and memorable moments, but since I’m fully immersed in enjoying our team’s “play” time, I’ll wrap up the story a bit earlier today.
Have fun and greeting from Schaffhausen. Viel Spaß und Grüße aus Schaffhausen.
