The first time I appeared in a YouTube video was during university. I got a position as an MC (Master of Ceremony) for the Communications Club at my university. It was a funny experience; to record just a few seconds for the video, imagine how many retakes I had to do because I was always nervous and kept forgetting the script. In the end, the video producer, the cameraman, and the video editor said, “We’ll make life easier for you. You don’t have to say the words; you just need to move your hands, and we’ll add the titles in the video ourselves.” 😂
After 10 years, I am now appearing in a YouTube video again to share a story about my APS interview (APS is the required certification for Vietnamese students applying to study in Germany). This time, there is no video producer, no cameraman, and no video editor. I had to do everything myself, from writing the script, filming, trying new software for video editing, and so on. I spent the whole weekend setting up everything, and the video was published yesterday.
If you have time to watch this video, you will notice some green in the background. Yeah, it’s me – an amateur who wanted to try out a green screen 🤣. My first video is not 100% perfect, but it is a small step forward. And I am definitely enjoying this path.
