Every year around Easter time, many stores in Germany are full of Easter decorations. I particularly enjoy seeing the chocolate displays during this period because they’re full of colorful and cute shapes like Easter Eggs and Easter Bunnies 😍.
One year, I received so many chocolates from family and colleagues that I couldn’t bring myself to eat them because they looked so nice. However, I also didn’t want to just leave the chocolate sitting there. That’s why I decided to create a 3D Origami basket as a decoration for the chocolates.

Every evening after work, I began folding small pieces of paper for the basket. I had folded these pieces thousands of times that I could even fold them blindfolded 😁. I found joy in the process – the rhythmic folding of paper, the anticipation of seeing the basket come together, and the satisfaction of creating something beautiful with my own hands. It wasn’t just about displaying chocolates; it was about turning an idea into a tangible reality.
After two weeks of dedication, I completed the Easter basket, which gave me a sense of great achievement.
To those reading this blog post, I extend warm wishes for a Happy Easter. May your celebrations be filled with joy, laughter, and perhaps a few sweet treats of your own 🐰🥚😊.
