Handmade presents are always appealing to me, especially for birthdays and anniversaries. Handmade presents mean to me that the person remembers those important dates, plans for them, and spends time making the presents themselves.
I had a best friend in high school – a friend whom my parents trusted so much that if he came to pick me up for class events, my parents would happily let me go, knowing he would definitely bring me back home five minutes before my curfew time 🤣. I often joked, “Hey, if we both reach 30 and neither of us are in a relationship, let’s get married.” He would calmly say, “I will never marry you, Thi.” Why??? I asked him, but he never gave me an explanation. Anyway, we are still best friends to this day. On one of my birthdays, he made a bracelet and gave it to me as a present. Imagine, a male friend who isn’t so into all those decorative things made a bracelet for me. I was really happy to receive that present and still keep it in my cupboard in Vietnam.
Soon will come my father-in-law’s birthday, and we’ve been asking him for what he would like as a present. He said he wants to spend time on a family trip. So, we’ve planned a bicycle tour, and I decided to make an origami bicycle to decorate it. I completed wrapping it yesterday evening, and I’m so happy to see it come to life. Psst, if you’re reading this blog, please don’t share it with him. It’s supposed to be a surprise 😋.
Have a good day! Schönen Tag!
